Now Open - The Inspiration Academy at The Leigh UTC. Three UTCs are also planning to open for KS3 in September 2020; Plymouth, West Midlands and Bolton.

Our UTCs

Baker Dearing Educational Trust sits at the centre of the UTC network and focuses on promoting and supporting new and existing UTCs. There are currently 48 UTCs in England.

The Inspiration academy at the Leigh UTC

The Inspiration academy is designed to give students the best chances of a successful and fulﬁlling future. We have structured our curriculum to create students who are self-motivated, competent, willing to take risks and become lifelong learners.

The STEAM Academy will provide all its students with the experiences, skills and values needed to properly prepare them for success at each stage of their future: examination courses at UTC Plymouth, apprenticeships, and university pathways, to secure careers within the globally competitive 21st century.
