BBC Radio 4 will visit WMG Academy Solihull this month to broadcast an edition of its flagship debate programme, Any Questions? on Friday June 23 with a panel drawn from the worlds of politics, business, and culture.

Hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby, this edition of Any Questions? airs on the first anniversary of the EU Referendum. Young people in the area are encouraged to join the audience to ask the panel questions that will explore the future of Brexit.

WMG Academy’s Executive Principal Kate Tague said:

We are delighted to be hosting BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? at our academy. Our state-of-the-art building is the perfect venue and it’s a great opportunity for our students and the wider community to experience first-hand how a live radio show is put together, as well as a chance for people to get answers to burning questions they may have. We are particularly pleased to have been chosen for this edition. There will be a focus on what Brexit will look like for the current generation of young people and it’s very fitting for an academy like ours which is helping to prepare that next generation of UK citizens for the real world.

People from across the Midlands are invited to apply, and the BBC is particularly interested in applications from under-30s who would like to put a question to the panel.

The minimum age for audience members is 14, and attendees will be asked to submit written questions, some of which will be selected and put to the panel. Doors open at 6.45pm and the event ends at 9pm.

To apply for the free audience tickets, email c.lewis@wmgacademy.org.uk with contact details and number of tickets required.
