From our Statement of Interest, we were delighted to be asked to submit a full application for a UTC in Plymouth. The strength of our bid lies in the excellent cooperation between the leading partners and the city's major employers, working at its core. The application is both pragmatic and very persuasive, and City College Plymouth is fully committed and looking forward to being part of the team that turns the plans into a reality.Viv Gillespie

We firmly believe the establishment of the UTC Plymouth will make a significant contribution to the development of skills and competence in young people which has the potential to support the long term requirements of Babcock's Devonport operations, the economic needs of the area and contribute to the growth potential of its wider engineering sector. We will be keen to explore how we might develop our involvement as the initiative gathers momentum.Archie Bethel CBE, FREng
