Greenwich UTC

Greenwich UTC will specialise in engineering and construction with underpinning themes of transport and new green technologies.  Lewisham College as lead sponsor, and co-sponsors the University of Greenwich and Greenwich Council, are very excited about the opportunities and regeneration this new school could provide.

A key feature of Greenwich UTC will be student access to the latest industrial practices through employer partners, as well as access to expert practitioners with industrial experience and leading edge research in partnership with the University of Greenwich.  The UTC will offer a radically different curriculum from that of other local schools and sixth form colleges, concentrating on developing the employment prospects of young people by engaging them in high quality, practical work and business related learning underpinned by strong links with employers. 

The proposed site for the UTC is in the north of Greenwich with excellent public transport via overground trains, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), tube and bus. The Baker Dearing Educational Trust is working closely with the project team on furthering plans for the building and forging relationships with employers.
