Greater Peterborough UTC (GPUTC) is a school for 14-19 year olds that offers technical qualifications in engineering and the built environment as part of its core curriculum. Students combine this technical learning with core academic studies and traditional GCSEs and A Levels including English, maths, science and humanities.
GPUTC is ideal for young people interested in a future in engineering, design and construction, or architecture. Students can join in year 10 or year 12 and enjoy learning in its state-of -the-art building, using industry leading-facilities and equipment.
The UTC is partnered with leading employers and Anglia Ruskin University, who help to build its unique curriculum and provide work experience programmes and practical projects for students to get involved with during their studies. ‘Learning by doing’ is key to GPUTC’s method of teaching. It helps to ensure that each student is fully prepared with the necessary skills to progress onto higher education, apprenticeships, further training or directly into employment.
GPUTC provides an outstanding educational experience, offering students opportunities that are not available in more traditional schools. They leave with the technical skills, practical work experience and confidence needed to get a head start in their chosen technical career.
