Think UTC is a national day that celebrates the work University Technical Colleges do to inspire young people to become the scientists, engineers, technologists and innovators of the future.

This year it took place on Friday 18 March.

Coinciding with British Science Week, UTCs across the country opened their doors to the whole community, inviting everyone to get involved. People were able to join workshops, open days and celebrity talks on all aspects of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

Why Think UTC?

  • Discover more about STEM and spark your talents by getting stuck in to mind boggling science experiments, awesome engineering feats and brilliant computer coding
  • Talk to industry names you recognise, and find out why combining technical learning with academic qualifications makes sense to employers
  • Find out from leading universities why they support UTCs and regularly offer unconditional places
  • Learn more about how your local UTC operates, and how enrolling can inspire young peoples’ education and lead them to the careers they want
